William Knight
William Knight is the Head of Design for Art Dubai group. He first became an ambassador for fte in 2016 whilst in charge of 100% Design.
About
"I’m a design promoter, currently working on programmes for the two biggest commercial design events in the UK: 100% Design and Clerkenwell Design Week. I’m lucky enough to work at the heart of the design industry in London, across a range of sectors mainly focussed on product, furniture, interior and architectural design.
I get to meet a huge variety of people; designers, manufacturers, organisers, press etc many of whom are at the top of their field. Its this variety and the sheer depth of talent across design in London that has kept me working in this area over the last 17 years. Its a great privilege."
When do you feel most free?
"I feel most free when I’m moving. Ideally under my own steam (cycling) or using the wind (sailing). I’m also grateful for time with my kids, I try to be free of all sorts of things with them - stress, preconceptions, distractions. Its tough, but there is nothing better."
