service · google feed & gtin fixes

your feed is leaking revenue. first we find out how much, then we fix it.

your store sends google a feed of your products every day. when that feed is missing identifiers - or has the wrong ones - google can't classify your products, and the listings you've already paid to run quietly underperform. an audit isolates exactly where. then we fix it.

step one - isolate the status

you can't fix what you can't see. our audit reads your merchant center, your product feed and your analytics setup, and surfaces exactly where visibility and revenue are leaking - missing gtins, wrong identifier settings, disapprovals, untracked traffic. you get it ranked by what it's worth, in plain english.

the gold audit already includes a full technical & feed review, so it's the natural place to start.

from google's own guidance
products with a gtin assigned, but submitted without one, get limited visibility. most stores never notice it's happening.

step two - fix what we find

the work

feed & gtin

gtin sourcing, validation and bulk implementation. identifier settings corrected. variant mapping and feed rules to clear disapprovals.

the setup

google suite

merchant center configured properly. ga4 and search console switched on and tracking, so you can finally see what your spend is doing.

because every catalogue is different, the fix is scoped and priced from what the audit finds - no guesswork, no padded estimate. it's one-off work: no retainer, nothing to cancel, and you only fix what's worth fixing.

recent work

gtin and google setup recently completed for the trove and studio atkinson - two premium british furniture and homeware brands on shopify. exactly the kind of product-heavy, detail-rich catalogue where this work pays off, and built on 20+ years in furniture and product.

questions, answered plainly

what is a gtin and why does my store need one?

a global trade item number - usually a upc, ean or isbn barcode - that google uses to recognise your products and match them to searches. if your products have gtins and you don't submit them, google limits their visibility. adding them correctly improves discoverability directly.

where do gtins go in shopify?

in the "barcode" field within each product's inventory settings, or in bulk via your product feed. we handle the bulk implementation so you don't touch products one by one.

what if my products don't have gtins?

handmade, custom or own-brand items often don't have a manufacturer gtin. the fix is to set identifier_exists correctly and supply brand and mpn data instead. getting this wrong is one of the most common reasons products get disapproved. we get it right.

why do my products show "limited performance" or "missing gtin" in merchant center?

usually google believes a gtin exists but you haven't submitted it, or you've submitted an invalid one. we diagnose the exact cause and resolve it across the whole catalogue.

do you only work with furniture and homeware brands?

that's where our retail background adds the most value, so it's our sweet spot - but any product-heavy shopify store with real catalogue complexity is a good fit.

is this a one-off or an ongoing contract?

one-off by design. we set it up properly, hand it over, and you're free to walk away. an annual tune-up is there if you'd like us to keep it current.

what's your feed already costing you?

start with an audit. we'll show you exactly where your feed is leaking - and what it would take to fix it - before you commit to anything.
